An Overview of Emerald House

Located in a peaceful residential area of Wolverhampton, Emerald House offers a warm and welcoming environment for up to three young people aged 8–18. Our home has been thoughtfully designed to create a sense of comfort, stability, and belonging, helping every child feel at home from the moment they arrive.

At the heart of Stepping Stones Care is a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach to care.

      A Therapeutic Approach to Care

At the heart of all our homes is a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach to care. Supported by our in-house clinical psychology team, we create personalised care plans tailored to each young person’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.

Our therapeutic model focuses on helping children to:

      • Build positive and trusting relationships
      • Develop emotional resilience and confidence
      • Understand and manage difficult feelings
      • Strengthen independence and life skills
      • Celebrate achievements and personal progress

Our staff receive ongoing specialist training in therapeutic approaches, including PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy), ensuring every interaction is nurturing, supportive, and consistent.

We believe childhood should be filled with opportunities, enjoyment, and positive memories.

      Creating Positive Experiences

We believe childhood should be filled with opportunities, enjoyment, and positive memories. At Emerald House, we encourage young people to explore their interests, develop hobbies, and take part in activities that build confidence and self-esteem.
Our goal is to help every young person move towards a brighter and more independent future.

      Supporting Every
Step Forward

Our goal is to help every young person move towards a brighter and more independent future. We work closely with families, social workers, education providers, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
At Stepping Stones Care we're here to support your next step.

A Place to Feel Safe, Valued, and Supported

Emerald House is a place where young people are encouraged to be themselves, build meaningful relationships, and feel genuinely cared for.
We are proud to provide an environment where children can begin to believe in their future again.
